I like the cover. It appears to provide protection on the Kindle screen. With cover folded it also acts as support so that you need not hold the Kindle. The only draw back lack of a storage place for the charger cable and ear buds. But would recommend it for the protection that it offers.

The cover has a nice feel and heft to it, but because the side and back are rigidly attached, it creates unnecessary stress on the latches that secure the cover to the Kindle DX. In my case that resulted over time in a hairline (but very noticeable) crack running horizontally from the top latch to the screen. Two ways Amazon could fix this would be to either provide Velcro tabs to secure the back of the cover to the Kindle DX so it cannot flex (and thus could not create the torque which causes the crack to form and enlarge) or to redesign the cover so that both the back and front can freely open/close (like the covers on the Sony Reader - which has a much better cover design in my opinion).

The binder fit the Kindle DX very well and it was easy to insert the reader. It hasn't been subject to much use yet, so it's durability and ease of everyday use are not yet established, but I see no reason to doubt its benefits.
